Grief

By Nicholas Niles

The darkness comes
It's hard to advoid
It swallows you whole
Makes you cry
And makes you whimper
Completely vunerable
Unavoidable
You think it's over
Nothing worse can happen
Whats worse than losing someone you love?
You would be right
There is nothing worse
Because once the darkness lifts
The light shines through
It's tempting to worry
That this ain't it
It's hard to conclude
The war is done
For body, mind and soul
Rest easy now
It's finally over
Tough to say goodbye
Tougher to move on
But ...
With a little work
And a lotta time passing
It will happen
The pain ends
Sleepless nights are a thing of the past
Life moves on
So do you
It is a long, and troublesome journey
You can do it
I know you can
If I can, so can you, right?
